Hymn 7 — Vidhuravijayanāmadheyaṁ saptamaṁ stotram

त्वय्यानन्दसरस्वति समरसतामेत्य नाथ मम चेतः।
Tvayyānandasarasvati samarasatāmetya nātha mama cetaḥ|
परिहरतु सकृदियन्तं भेदाधीनं महानर्थम्॥७.१॥
Pariharatu sakṛdiyantaṁ bhedādhīnaṁ mahānartham||7.1||

Lord (nātha), may my (mama) consciousness (cetaḥ), having entered (etya) into unity of taste (sama-rasatām) with Thee (tvayi), river of bliss (ānanda-sarasvati), at once (sakṛt) may cast off (pariharatu) this (iyantam) great calamity (mahā-anartham), which is dependent on distinction (bheda-adhīnam)||7.1||


एतन्मम न त्विदमिति रागद्वेषादिनिगडदृढमूले।
Etanmama na tvidamiti rāgadveṣādinigaḍadṛḍhamūle|
नाथ भवन्मयतैक्यप्रत्ययपरशुः पतत्वन्तः॥७.२॥
Nātha bhavanmayataikyapratyayaparaśuḥ patatvantaḥ||7.2||

“This (etat) is mine (mama), and this (idam) is not (na tu)” — thus (iti); and upon the firm root of these fetters, passion, hatred, and the rest (rāga-dveṣa-ādi-nigaḍa-dṛḍha-mūle), the Lord (nātha), let it fall (patatu) within (antaḥ) the axe — the certainty that all is You and one with You (bhavat-mayatā-aikya-pratyaya-paraśuḥ)||7.2||


गलतु विकल्पकलङ्कावली समुल्लसतु हृदि निरर्गलता।
Galatu vikalpakalaṅkāvalī samullasatu hṛdi nirargalatā|
भगवन्नानन्दरसप्लुतास्तु मे चिन्मयी मूर्तिः॥७.३॥
Bhagavannānandarasaplutāstu me cinmayī mūrtiḥ||7.3||

Let flow (galatu) the train of stains of discriminating thought (vikalpa-kalaṅka-āvalī), let shine forth (samullasatu) in the heart (hṛdi) unobstructedness (nirargalatā); Lord (bhagavan), let my (me) form consisting of Consciousness (cin-mayī) be (mūrtiḥ) will be (astu) flooded with the juice of bliss (ānanda-rasa-plutā)||7.3||


रागादिमयभवाण्डकलुठितं त्वद्भक्तिभावनाम्बिका तैस्तैः।
Rāgādimayabhavāṇḍakaluṭhitaṁ tvadbhaktibhāvanāmbikā taistaiḥ|
आप्याययतु रसैर्मां प्रवृद्धपक्षो यथा भवामि खगः॥७.४॥
Āpyāyayatu rasairmāṁ pravṛddhapakṣo yathā bhavāmi khagaḥ||7.4||

Let the mother — contemplation of devotion to You (tvat-bhakti-bhāvanā-ambikā)nourish (āpyāyayatu) me (mām), rolling in the egg of existence, compounded of passion and the rest (rāga-ādi-maya-bhava-āṇḍa-kaluṭhitam), with these and those (taiḥ taiḥ) juices (rasaiḥ), — so that (yathā) I may become (bhavāmi) a bird (khagaḥ) with grown wings (pravṛddha-pakṣaḥ)||7.4||


त्वच्चरणभावनामृतरससारास्वादनैपुणं लभताम्।
Tvaccaraṇabhāvanāmṛtarasasārāsvādanaipuṇaṁ labhatām|
चित्तमिदं निःशेषितविषयविषासङ्गवासनावधि मे॥७.५॥
Cittamidaṁ niḥśeṣitaviṣayaviṣāsaṅgavāsanāvadhi me||7.5||

Let this (idam) my (me) consciousness (cittam), in which the trace of attachment to the poison of objects is utterly destroyed (niḥśeṣita-viṣaya-viṣa-āsaṅga-vāsanā-avadhi), may attain (labhatām) the skill of tasting the very essence of the nectarous juice of contemplating Your feet (tvat-caraṇa-bhāvanā-amṛta-rasa-sāra-āsvāda-naipuṇam)||7.5||


त्वद्भक्तितपनदीधितिसंस्पर्शवशान्ममैष दूरतरम्।
Tvadbhaktitapanadīdhitisaṁsparśavaśānmamaiṣa dūrataram|
चेतोमणिर्विमूञ्चतुरागादिकतप्तवह्निकणान्॥७.६॥
Cetomaṇirvimūñcaturāgādikataptavahnikaṇān||7.6||

Let this (eṣaḥ) my (mama) jewel-consciousness (cetaḥ-maṇiḥ), from the touch of the rays of the sun of devotion to Thee (tvat-bhakti-tapana-dīdhiti-saṁsparśa-vaśāt), shall cast away (vimuñcatu) as far as possible (dūra-taram) the sparks of fire heated by passion and the rest (rāga-ādika-tapta-vahni-kaṇān)||7.6||


तस्मिन्पदे भवन्तं सततमुपश्लोकयेयमत्युच्चैः।
Tasminpade bhavantaṁ satatamupaślokayeyamatyuccaiḥ|
हरिहर्यश्वविरिञ्चा अपि यत्र बहिः प्रतीक्षन्ते॥७.७॥
Hariharyaśvaviriñcā api yatra bahiḥ pratīkṣante||7.7||

May I proclaim at the top of my voice (ati-uccaiḥ) unceasingly (satatam) praise (upaślokayeyam) Thee (bhavantam) in that (tasmin) state (pade), where (yatra) even (api) Hari, Indra and Viriñca (hari-haryaśva-viriñcāḥ) wait (pratīkṣante) outside (bahiḥ)||7.7||


भक्तिमदजनितविभ्रमवशेन पश्येयमविकलं करणैः।
Bhaktimadajanitavibhramavaśena paśyeyamavikalaṁ karaṇaiḥ|
शिवमयमखिलं लोकं क्रियाश्च पूजामयी सकलाः॥७.८॥
Śivamayamakhilaṁ lokaṁ kriyāśca pūjāmayī sakalāḥ||7.8||

By force of dizziness born of the intoxication of devotion (bhakti-mada-janita-vibhrama-vaśena), May I see. (paśyeyam) with the sense organs (karaṇaiḥ) flawless (avikalam) all (akhilam) world (lokam) consisting of Śiva (śiva-mayam), и (ca) all (sakalāḥ) deeds (kriyāḥ)consisting of worship (pūjā-mayī)||7.8||


मामकमनोगृहीतत्वद्भक्तिकुलाङ्गनाणिमादिसुतान्।
Māmakamanogṛhītatvadbhaktikulāṅganāṇimādisutān|
सूत्वा सुबद्धमूला ममेति बुद्धिं दृढीकुरुताम्॥७.९॥
Sūtvā subaddhamūlā mameti buddhiṁ dṛḍhīkurutām||7.9||

May the noble wife — devotion to You, taken by my mind (māmaka-manaḥ-gṛhīta-tvat-bhakti-kula-aṅganā)having given birth (sūtvā) to sons, anima and other perfections (aṇimā-ādi-sutān), become firmly rooted (su-baddha-mūlā) and strengthen (dṛḍhī-kurutām) the thought (buddhim) “this is my home” (mameti)||7.9||
