अहो कोऽपि जयत्येष स्वादुः पूजामहोत्सवः।
Aho ko'pi jayatyeṣa svāduḥ pūjāmahotsavaḥ|
यतोऽमृतरसास्वादमश्रूण्यपि ददत्यलम्॥१७.१॥
Yato'mṛtarasāsvādamaśrūṇyapi dadatyalam||17.1||
O! Victorious is this some sweet great festival of worship, from which and tears abundantly give the taste of nectarous juice||17.1||
व्यापाराः सिद्धिदाः सर्वे ये त्वत्पूजापुरःसराः।
Vyāpārāḥ siddhidāḥ sarve ye tvatpūjāpuraḥsarāḥ|
भक्तानां त्वन्मयाः सर्वे स्वयं सिद्धय एव ते॥१७.२॥
Bhaktānāṁ tvanmayāḥ sarve svayaṁ siddhaya eva te||17.2||
All actions, which have the worship of You going before them, give perfection; but for the devotees all they, consisting of You, by themselves and indeed are perfections||17.2||
सर्वदा सर्वभावेषु युगपत्सर्वरूपिणम्।
Sarvadā sarvabhāveṣu yugapatsarvarūpiṇam|
त्वामर्चयन्त्यविश्रन्तं ये ममैतेऽधिदेवताः॥१७.३॥
Tvāmarcayantyaviśrantaṁ ye mamaite'dhidevatāḥ||17.3||
Those, who always in all things at once worship Thee, having all forms, without respite, — they are my supreme deities||17.3||
ध्यानायसतिरस्कारसिद्धस्त्वत्स्पर्शनोत्सवः।
Dhyānāyasatiraskārasiddhastvatsparśanotsavaḥ|
पूजाविधिरिति ख्यातो भक्तानां स सदास्तु मे॥१७.४॥
Pūjāvidhiriti khyāto bhaktānāṁ sa sadāstu me||17.4||
Let for me always be that rite of worship, which is known among devotees: the festival of touching You, attained by the rejection of the toil of meditation||17.4||
भक्तानां समतासारविषुवत्समयः सदा।
Bhaktānāṁ samatāsāraviṣuvatsamayaḥ sadā|
त्वद्भावरसपीयूषरसेन्नैषां सदार्चनम्॥१७.५॥
Tvadbhāvarasapīyūṣarasennaiṣāṁ sadārcanam||17.5||
For the devotees eternal worship — their eternal equinox, whose essence is evenness, with the nectarous juice of the rasa of being by Thee||17.5||
यस्यानारम्भपर्यन्तौ न च कालक्रमः प्रभो।
Yasyānārambhaparyantau na ca kālakramaḥ prabho|
पूजात्मासौ क्रिया तस्याः कर्तारस्त्वज्जुषः परम्॥१७.६॥
Pūjātmāsau kriyā tasyāḥ kartārastvajjuṣaḥ param||17.6||
The Lord, that action, which has neither beginning nor end and no sequence of time, — that indeed is worship; and they perform it only devotees of Thee||17.6||
ब्रह्मादीनामपीशास्ते ते च सौभाग्यभागिनः।
Brahmādīnāmapīśāste te ca saubhāgyabhāginaḥ|
येषां स्वप्नेऽपि मोहेऽपि स्थितस्त्वत्पूजनोत्सवः॥१७.७॥
Yeṣāṁ svapne'pi mohe'pi sthitastvatpūjanotsavaḥ||17.7||
The Lord, those, for whom and in sleep, and in delusion stands the festival of worshipping You, — those rule and over Brahmā and others, and they obtain fortune||17.7||
जपतां जुह्वतां स्नातां ध्यायतां न च केवलम्।
Japatāṁ juhvatāṁ snātāṁ dhyāyatāṁ na ca kevalam|
भक्तानां भवदभ्यर्चामहो यावद्यदा तदा॥१७.८॥
Bhaktānāṁ bhavadabhyarcāmaho yāvadyadā tadā||17.8||
O! Not only when they whisper, offer sacrifice, bathe and contemplate, — for the devotees the worship of Thee proceeds as long as they exist, and at any time||17.8||
भवत्पूजासुधास्वादसम्भोगसुखिनः सदा।
Bhavatpūjāsudhāsvādasambhogasukhinaḥ sadā|
इन्द्रादीनामथ ब्रह्ममुख्यानामस्ति कः समः॥१७.९॥
Indrādīnāmatha brahmamukhyānāmasti kaḥ samaḥ||17.9||
Who is equal to him who always is happy with the enjoyment of the taste of the nectar of worshipping Thee, — among Indra and others or among the foremost with Brahmā?||17.9||
जगत्क्षोभैकजनके भवत्पूजामहोत्सवे।
Jagatkṣobhaikajanake bhavatpūjāmahotsave|
यत्प्राप्यं प्राप्यते किञ्चिद्भक्ता एव विदन्ति तत्॥१७.१०॥
Yatprāpyaṁ prāpyate kiñcidbhaktā eva vidanti tat||17.10||
In the great festival of worship of You, the sole parent of the world’s agitation, is obtained something, that is altogether attainable; and know that only the devotees||17.10||
त्वद्धाम्नि चिन्मये स्थित्वा षट्त्रिंशत्तत्त्वकर्मभिः।
Tvaddhāmni cinmaye sthitvā ṣaṭtriṁśattattvakarmabhiḥ|
कायवाक्चित्तचेष्टाद्यैरर्चये त्वां सदा विभो॥१७.११॥
Kāyavākcittaceṣṭādyairarcaye tvāṁ sadā vibho||17.11||
All-pervading, standing in Thy abode, consisting of Consciousness, may I worship Thee always with the acts of the thirty-six tattvas — with movements of body, speech, consciousness, and the like||17.11||
भवत्पूजामयासङ्गसम्भोगसुखिनो मम।
Bhavatpūjāmayāsaṅgasambhogasukhino mama|
प्रयातु कालः सकलोऽप्यनन्तोऽपीयदर्थये॥१७.१२॥
Prayātu kālaḥ sakalo'pyananto'pīyadarthaye||17.12||
May my, happy in the enjoyment of the unbroken union that is the worship of Thee, pass all time — though infinite. For this I ask||17.12||
भवत्पूजामृतरसाभोगलम्पटत विभो।
Bhavatpūjāmṛtarasābhogalampaṭata vibho|
विवर्धतामनुदिनं सदा च फलतां मम॥१७.१३॥
Vivardhatāmanudinaṁ sadā ca phalatāṁ mama||17.13||
All-pervading, may greed for the fullness of the nectarous juice of worshipping Thee grow day by day and always bear fruit in me||17.13||
जगद्विलयसञ्जातसुधैकरसनिर्भरे।
Jagadvilayasañjātasudhaikarasanirbhare|
ज्वदब्धौ त्वां महात्मानमर्चन्नासीय सर्वदा॥१७.१४॥
Jvadabdhau tvāṁ mahātmānamarcannāsīya sarvadā||17.14||
May I be always, worshipping Thee, the Great Self, in the ocean of flame, full of the single nectarean juice, born of the dissolution of the world||17.14||
अशेषवासनाग्रन्थिविच्छेदसरलं सदा।
Aśeṣavāsanāgranthivicchedasaralaṁ sadā|
मनो निवेद्यते भक्तैः स्वादु पूजाविधौ तव॥१७.१५॥
Mano nivedyate bhaktaiḥ svādu pūjāvidhau tava||17.15||
The mind, always straight from the cutting of all knots of habits, sweetly is offered by devotees in the rite of worship to You||17.15||
अधिष्ठायैव विषयानिमाः करणवृत्तयः।
Adhiṣṭhāyaiva viṣayānimāḥ karaṇavṛttayaḥ|
भक्तानां प्रेषयन्ति स्वत्पूजार्थममृतासवम्॥१७.१६॥
Bhaktānāṁ preṣayanti svatpūjārthamamṛtāsavam||17.16||
These activities of the sense organs of the devotees, having mounted upon the objects themselves, send forth the intoxicating nectar for the purpose of worshipping You||17.16||
भक्तानां भक्तिसंवेगमहोष्मविवशात्मनाम्।
Bhaktānāṁ bhaktisaṁvegamahoṣmavivaśātmanām|
कोऽन्यो निर्वाणहेतुः स्यात्त्वत्पूजामृतमज्जनात्॥१७.१७॥
Ko'nyo nirvāṇahetuḥ syāttvatpūjāmṛtamajjanāt||17.17||
For devotees, whose self has grown powerless from the great heat of the surge of devotion, what other cause of peace could there be, other than immersion in the nectar of worshipping You?||17.17||
सततं त्वत्पदाभ्यर्चासुधापानमहोत्सवः।
Satataṁ tvatpadābhyarcāsudhāpānamahotsavaḥ|
त्वत्प्रसादैकसम्प्राप्तिहेतुर्मे नाथ कल्पताम्॥१७.१८॥
Tvatprasādaikasamprāptiheturme nātha kalpatām||17.18||
Lord, may the unceasing great festival of drinking the nectar of worship of Your feet become for me the sole cause of obtaining Your grace||17.18||
अनुभूयासमीशान प्रतिकर्म क्षणात्क्षणम्।
Anubhūyāsamīśāna pratikarma kṣaṇātkṣaṇam|
भवत्पूजामृतापानमदास्वादमहामुदम्॥१७.१९॥
Bhavatpūjāmṛtāpānamadāsvādamahāmudam||17.19||
Lord, may I experience in every deed, from moment to moment, the great joy of the taste of the intoxication of drinking the nectar of worshipping Thee||17.19||
दृष्टर्थ एव भक्तानां भवत्पूजामहोद्यमः।
Dṛṣṭartha eva bhaktānāṁ bhavatpūjāmahodyamaḥ|
तदैव यदसम्भाव्यं सुखमास्वादयन्ति ते॥१७.२०॥
Tadaiva yadasambhāvyaṁ sukhamāsvādayanti te||17.20||
For the devotees great diligence in worshipping You bears fruit right before their eyes: at that very moment they taste that inconceivable happiness||17.20||
यावन्न लब्धस्त्वत्पूजासुधास्वादमहोत्सवः।
Yāvanna labdhastvatpūjāsudhāsvādamahotsavaḥ|
तावन्नास्वादितो मन्ये लवोऽपि सुखसम्पदः॥१७.२१॥
Tāvannāsvādito manye lavo'pi sukhasampadaḥ||17.21||
While is not attained the great festival of tasting the nectar of worshipping Thee, — until then, I think, not tasted even a drop of the wealth of happiness||17.21||
भक्तानां विषयन्वेषाभासायासाद्विनैव सा।
Bhaktānāṁ viṣayanveṣābhāsāyāsādvinaiva sā|
अयत्नसिद्धं त्वद्धामस्थितिः पूजासु जायते॥१७.२२॥
Ayatnasiddhaṁ tvaddhāmasthitiḥ pūjāsu jāyate||17.22||
For devotees in worship arises without any labor of the imagined search for objects that abiding in Your abode, which is attained without effort||17.22||
न प्राप्यमस्ति भक्तनां नाप्येषामस्ति दुर्लभम्।
Na prāpyamasti bhaktanāṁ nāpyeṣāmasti durlabham|
केवलं विचरन्त्येते भवत्पूजामदोन्मदाः॥१७.२३॥
Kevalaṁ vicarantyete bhavatpūjāmadonmadāḥ||17.23||
For the devotees there is nothing to be attained, and there is (na asti) for them nothing difficult to achieve. They only wander, intoxicated with the intoxication of worshipping You||17.23||
अहो भक्तिभरोदारचेतसां वरद त्वयि।
Aho bhaktibharodāracetasāṁ varada tvayi|
स्लाघ्यः पूजाविधिः कोऽपि यो न याच्ञाकलङ्कितः॥१७.२४॥
Slāghyaḥ pūjāvidhiḥ ko'pi yo na yācñākalaṅkitaḥ||17.24||
O, bestower of gifts! For those whose consciousness is generous from the burden of devotion, to Thee there is a certain praiseworthy rite of worship — that which is not stained by a request||17.24||
का न शोभा न को ह्लादः का समृद्धिर्न वापरा।
Kā na śobhā na ko hlādaḥ kā samṛddhirna vāparā|
को वा न मोक्षः कोऽप्येष महादेवो यदर्च्यते॥१७.२५॥
Ko vā na mokṣaḥ ko'pyeṣa mahādevo yadarcyate||17.25||
What beauty is not beauty, what delight is not delight, what wealth is not wealth, what liberation is not liberation, — if is worshipped this very some Mahādeva?||17.25||
अन्तरुल्लसदच्छाच्छभक्तिपीयूषपोषितम्।
Antarullasadacchācchabhaktipīyūṣapoṣitam|
भवत्पूजोपयोगाय शरीरमिदमस्तु मे॥१७.२६॥
Bhavatpūjopayogāya śarīramidamastu me||17.26||
Let this my body, nourished by the clear and translucent nectar of devotion playing within, shall be fit for the worship of Thee||17.26||
त्वत्पादपूजासम्भोगपरतन्त्रः सदा विभो।
Tvatpādapūjāsambhogaparatantraḥ sadā vibho|
भूयासं जगतामीश एकः स्वच्छन्दचेष्टितः॥१७.२७॥
Bhūyāsaṁ jagatāmīśa ekaḥ svacchandaceṣṭitaḥ||17.27||
All-pervading, Lord of the worlds, may I be always subject to the enjoyment of worshipping Your feet — and therefore acting according to my own will||17.27||
त्वद्ध्यानदर्शनस्पर्शतृषि केषामपि प्रभो।
Tvaddhyānadarśanasparśatṛṣi keṣāmapi prabho|
जायते शीतलस्वादु भवत्पूजामहासरः॥१७.२८॥
Jāyate śītalasvādu bhavatpūjāmahāsaraḥ||17.28||
The Lord, For others in the thirst to behold, see, and touch You is born cool and sweet great lake of reverence for You||17.28||
यथा त्वमेव जगतः पूजासम्भोगभाजनम्।
Yathā tvameva jagataḥ pūjāsambhogabhājanam|
तथेश भक्तिमानेव पूजासम्भोगभाजनम्॥१७.२९॥
Tatheśa bhaktimāneva pūjāsambhogabhājanam||17.29||
The Lord, as You alone — the vessel of enjoyment of worship for the world, so and the devotee — the vessel of enjoyment of worship||17.29||
कोऽप्यसौ जयति स्वामिन्भवत्पूजामहोत्सवः।
Ko'pyasau jayati svāminbhavatpūjāmahotsavaḥ|
षट्त्रिंशतोऽपि तत्त्वानां क्षोभो यत्रोल्लसत्यलम्॥१७.३०॥
Ṣaṭtriṁśato'pi tattvānāṁ kṣobho yatrollasatyalam||17.30||
The Lord, conquers this some great festival of worshipping Thee, where abundantly plays the agitation and of all thirty-six tattvas||17.30||
नमस्तेभ्यो विभो येषां भक्तिपीयूषवारिणा।
Namastebhyo vibho yeṣāṁ bhaktipīyūṣavāriṇā|
पूज्यान्येव भवन्ति त्वत्पूजोपकरणान्यपि॥१७.३१॥
Pūjyānyeva bhavanti tvatpūjopakaraṇānyapi||17.31||
All-pervading, homage to those, for whom from the water of the nectar of devotion and even the very implements for worshipping Thee become worthy of worship||17.31||
पूजारम्भे विभो ध्यात्वा मन्त्राधेयां त्वदात्मताम्।
Pūjārambhe vibho dhyātvā mantrādheyāṁ tvadātmatām|
स्वात्मन्येव परे भक्ता मान्ति हर्षेण न क्वचित्॥१७.३२॥
Svātmanyeva pare bhaktā mānti harṣeṇa na kvacit||17.32||
All-pervading, at the beginning of worship having contemplated Thy self, instilled by the mantra, the devotees from joy not are contained anywhere — except in their own highest self||17.32||
राज्यलाभादिवोत्फुल्लैः कैश्चित्पूजामहोत्सवे।
Rājyalābhādivotphullaiḥ kaiścitpūjāmahotsave|
सुधासवेन सकला जगती संविभज्यते॥१७.३३॥
Sudhāsavena sakalā jagatī saṁvibhajyate||17.33||
Others, blossomed as if from the attainment of a kingdom, in the great festival of worship share with all the earth with inebriating nectar||17.33||
पूजामृतापानमयो येषां भोगः प्रतिक्षणम्।
Pūjāmṛtāpānamayo yeṣāṁ bhogaḥ pratikṣaṇam|
किं देवा उत मुक्तास्ते किं वा केऽप्येव ते जनाः॥१७.३४॥
Kiṁ devā uta muktāste kiṁ vā ke'pyeva te janāḥ||17.34||
Those, for whom every moment enjoyment consists of drinking the nectar of worship, — are they gods or liberated ones, or some (ke api eva) special people?||17.34||
पूजोपकरणीभूतविश्ववेशेन गौरवम्।
Pūjopakaraṇībhūtaviśvaveśena gauravam|
अहो किमपि भक्तानां किमप्येव च लाघवम्॥१७.३५॥
Aho kimapi bhaktānāṁ kimapyeva ca lāghavam||17.35||
O! For the devotees — a certain (kim api) weightiness from the fact that the universe is clothed by him in the implements of worship, and a certain (kim api eva) lightness||17.35||
पूजामयाक्षविक्षेपक्षोभादेवामृतोद्गमः।
Pūjāmayākṣavikṣepakṣobhādevāmṛtodgamaḥ|
भक्तानां क्षीरजलधिक्षोभादिव दिवौकसाम्॥१७.३६॥
Bhaktānāṁ kṣīrajaladhikṣobhādiva divaukasām||17.36||
In the devotees from the very agitation of scattered senses, which has become worship, arises nectar — as for the celestials from the churning of the milk ocean||17.36||
पूजां के चन मन्यन्ते धेनुं कामदुघामिव।
Pūjāṁ ke cana manyante dhenuṁ kāmadughāmiva|
सुधाधाराधिकरसां धयन्त्यन्तर्मुखाः परे॥१७.३७॥
Sudhādhārādhikarasāṁ dhayantyantarmukhāḥ pare||17.37||
Others (ke cana) worship worship as if a wish-fulfilling cow; others, turned inward, suck her whose juice is more abundant than a stream of nectar||17.37||
भक्तानामक्षविक्षेपोऽप्येष संसारसम्मतः।
Bhaktānāmakṣavikṣepo'pyeṣa saṁsārasammataḥ|
उपनीय किमप्यन्तः पुष्णात्यर्चामहोत्सवम्॥१७.३८॥
Upanīya kimapyantaḥ puṣṇātyarcāmahotsavam||17.38||
For devotees even this scattering of the senses, acknowledged as the cycle of rebirth, having brought something (kim api) within, nourishes the great festival of worship||17.38||
भक्तिक्षोभवशादीश स्वात्मभूतेऽर्चनं त्वयि।
Bhaktikṣobhavaśādīśa svātmabhūte'rcanaṁ tvayi|
चित्रं दैन्याय नो यावद्दीनतायाः परं फलम्॥१७.३९॥
Citraṁ dainyāya no yāvaddīnatāyāḥ paraṁ phalam||17.39||
The Lord, wonder: worship of Thee, become one’s own self, by the force of the agitation of devotion does not lead to humiliation — yet the highest fruit of poverty is indeed humiliation||17.39||
उपचारपदं पूजा केषाञ्चित्त्वत्पदाप्तये।
Upacārapadaṁ pūjā keṣāñcittvatpadāptaye|
भक्तानां भवदैकात्म्यनिर्वृत्तिप्रसरस्तु सः॥१७.४०॥
Bhaktānāṁ bhavadaikātmyanirvṛttiprasarastu saḥ||17.40||
For some worship — a place of ritual services for the attainment of Your state; and for devotees it — an outpouring of peace from unity with You||17.40||
अप्यसम्बद्धरूपार्चाभक्त्युन्मादनिरर्गलैः।
Apyasambaddharūpārcābhaktyunmādanirargalaiḥ|
वितन्यमाना लभते प्रतिष्ठां त्वयि कामपि॥१७.४१॥
Vitanyamānā labhate pratiṣṭhāṁ tvayi kāmapi||17.41||
And. veneration of incoherent appearance, performed those whom nothing holds in the madness of devotion, acquires in You a certain support||17.41||
स्वादुभक्तिरसास्वादस्तब्धीभूतमनश्च्युताम्।
Svādubhaktirasāsvādastabdhībhūtamanaścyutām|
शम्भो त्वमेव ललितः पूजानां किल भाजनम्॥१७.४२॥
Śambho tvameva lalitaḥ pūjānāṁ kila bhājanam||17.42||
Śambhu, You alone, beautiful, and are the vessel of those acts of worship, that slip from the mind, stunned by the taste of the sweet juice of devotion||17.42||
परिपूर्णानि शुद्धानि भक्तिमन्ति स्थिराणि च।
Paripūrṇāni śuddhāni bhaktimanti sthirāṇi ca|
भवत्पूजाविधौ नाथ साधनानि भवन्तु मे॥१७.४३॥
Bhavatpūjāvidhau nātha sādhanāni bhavantu me||17.43||
O Lord, may my means in the rite of worshipping Thee be utterly complete, pure, full of devotion and steadfast||17.43||
अशेषपूजासत्कोशे त्वत्पूजाकर्मणि प्रभो।
Aśeṣapūjāsatkośe tvatpūjākarmaṇi prabho|
अहो करणवृन्दस्य कापि लक्ष्मीर्विजृम्भते॥१७.४४॥
Aho karaṇavṛndasya kāpi lakṣmīrvijṛmbhate||17.44||
The Lord, o! In the matter of worshiping You, in this good treasury of all worships, unfolds certain Śrī the dream of the sense organs||17.44||
एषा पेशलिमा नाथ तवैव किल दृश्यते।
Eṣā peśalimā nātha tavaiva kila dṛśyate|
विश्वेश्वरोऽपि भृत्यैर्यदर्च्यसे यश्च लभ्यसे॥१७.४५॥
Viśveśvaro'pi bhṛtyairyadarcyase yaśca labhyase||17.45||
Lord, this subtlety is seen indeed in Thee alone (tava eva): being the Lord of the universe, Thou art worshipped by servants, and by them indeed art attained||17.45||
सदामुर्त्तादमूर्त्ताद्वा भावाद्यद्वाप्यभावतः।
Sadāmurttādamūrttādvā bhāvādyadvāpyabhāvataḥ|
उत्थेयान्मे प्रशस्तस्य भवत्पूजामहोत्सवः॥१७.४६॥
Uttheyānme praśastasya bhavatpūjāmahotsavaḥ||17.46||
May for me, of the praised one, always the great festival of worshipping You arises — from a thing with a form or without a form, or even from non-being||17.46||
कामक्रोधाभिमानैस्त्वामुपहरीकृतैः सदा।
Kāmakrodhābhimānaistvāmupaharīkṛtaiḥ sadā|
येऽर्चयन्ति नमस्तेभ्यस्तेषां तुष्टोऽस्मि तत्त्वतः॥१७.४७॥
Ye'rcayanti namastebhyasteṣāṁ tuṣṭo'smi tattvataḥ||17.47||
Homage to those, who always worship Thee with desire, anger and pride, turned into an offering; by them I am pleased in truth||17.47||
जयत्येष भवद्भक्तिभाजां पूजाविधिः परः।
Jayatyeṣa bhavadbhaktibhājāṁ pūjāvidhiḥ paraḥ|
यस्तृणैः क्रियमानोऽपि रत्नैरेवोपकल्पते॥१७.४८॥
Yastṛṇaiḥ kriyamāno'pi ratnairevopakalpate||17.48||
Victorious this highest rite of worship among those possessed of devotion to Thee: being performed even with blades of grass, it serves as if with jewels||17.48||
