O Lord, what is that in which the Lord would not attain creative power? And is there an animate being, whom would not be with Śaṅkara? Thus, Supreme Lord, to Thee, whose great Power is unbroken, I always cling, — but in this cycle I suffer I with unceasing anguish||11.12||

Let (yadi api) here pain, old age and death — the most fierce of those who bestow gifts — these very ones; or let for a moment remain highly valued the impermanent sound and so forth. And yet I, longing for unbroken happiness, for long yearn for that which stands firm — for that life, the first thing in which is the contemplation of Your lotus-feet together with the taste of pleasures — the stanza is obscure: the connection of the second half with the first admits another division too — (bhoga-āsvāda-yuta-tvat-aṅghri-kamala-dhyāna-agrya)||11.13||
